Short Film Update and Voicing a Tudor Monarch
Homeward, Short Film Update
Homeward, the short film I shot last March, had its first screening recently at the Odeon Cinema, Birmingham New Street. The film had an amazing response and will now begin its journey on to the festival circuit. There will be a another screening in Gloucester in July. I’ll be updating my showreel with one of the scenes very soon!
Last month also saw me voicing none other than a 63 year old Queen Elizabeth I in Kynren, a spectacular live action show opening in Bishop Auckland this July. Kynren takes audiences on a journey through 2,000 years of British history, myth and legend. I was very lucky to work with Steve Boyd, who has directed some huge events including the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies. You can check out the trailer for Kynren here:
I’m also happy to report that I’m now a member of VO family that is The Voice Over Network. I went along to their incredible ‘Get Your Game on’ Event in April and heard pearls of gaming-acting wisdom from the likes of VO legends Dave Fennoy and Mark Estdale (who booked me for my first game VO job in 2015!) I’m really looking forward to the VOND Summer Party next week, I hope to see some of you there!
